Mental Health Is More Than Suicide.

I have mental illness, but I don’t want to kill myself.
Why is the general public so insensitive to my experience, but when someone commits suicide, all of a sudden it’s a massive outcry for mental health reform?
This is not a contest or a commentary on “not fair”…but it kind of is in the sense that my mental health matters and it shouldn’t involve taking my own life to get some attention, recognition and reform.

BPD Dichotomy, Come On, Say It With Me!

The erratic see-saw-like relationship that so many with BPD experience and share with their partners.
The relationship starts off like a blockbuster Rom-Com, then, with one ‘wrong’ move, spirals into a Thriller with bunnies boiling on the stove.

Poking A Bear In The Public Library

In this case, mental illness was so clearly evident as, on one of the first warm days in the city, when everyone is wearing t-shirts and open-toed shoes, this man sported a heavy sweater and a winter hat. In addition, over his unkempt facial hair, he had a surgical mask pulled down to cover his bearded chin.
If there was ever a picture of “crazy” this was undeniably it.
